I was wondering how the Mini would deal with the high CPU loads during these intense operations. The two areas that you can see Final Cut Pro X tax a computer is during initial clip analysis and also while exporting video. Scrubbing through hours of footage on the Mini is easy and the system doesn't break a sweat during editing sessions.

While the included hard drives are not the fastest, I haven't had any trouble working with lots of 720P and 1080P video. However, the Geekbench scores on the 2012 quad-core Mac Minis are fantastic, so I gave it a shot and have been VERY happy with this little machine. I was skeptical about the power of the Mac Mini simply because it's so small. I had been using a quad-core hackintosh to edit video with Final Cut Pro and wanted an inexpensive way to migrate to Apple hardware.
